Embedded Firmware Engineer
Well rounded, creative engineering professional with a broad level of experience and a positive team oriented attitude is sought for this position. The ideal candidate possesses strong Engineering skills along with the ability and desire to generate innovative ideas for new products, features and applications. Experience interfacing with marketing/sales and customers is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of product level firmware architecture, DSP algorithm development and implementation utilizing MATLAB and TI DSP platforms in areas related to signal filtering, correlation and real-time control
- Architecture development and integration of a wide range of embedded applications including industrial device level networking, communications, control, system diagnostics and self-test, hardware recovery routines and error handling, embedded Ethernet interfaces with email, web server and ftp transfer
- Contributing to existing team of Windows application programmers in higher level languages such as Visual Basic, C++, Java, LabView or HMI/Scada platforms
- Providing high level training and support to internal staff, distribution channels and end customer/engineering firms
Requirements:
- A BSEE (MSEE preferred) and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience
- Excellent verbal, written communication and computer skills
- High level organizational skills including the ability to multi-task in a fast paced entrepreneurial, growing company environment
- Proven ability in the area of Digital Signal Processing
- Substantial experience with MATLAB and TI’s Code Composer Studio

Platforms include: 16 and 32bit microcontrollers and DSP’s from TI, Freescale, ST/ARM9 and Intel/Marvell XScale processors running Windows CE. Opportunity for similar hardware level design work is also available, but is not a requirement for this position.
